Personalized online tutoring designed to meet each learner where they are and guide them to where they want to be.
Unlock Your Academic Potential
Learning isn't one-size-fits-all, and the best academic support meets students exactly where they are. I'm Bernadette Gorczyca, an experienced educator with a Master's in Secondary Education and 16 years of teaching experience across middle school, high school, and international settings.
As a parent, you want to know your child feels supported, academically and emotionally. Whether they’re struggling to stay organized, facing tough coursework, wanting to strengthen their writing, or simply needing encouragement along the way, I offer personalized coaching that goes beyond traditional tutoring. Together, we’ll build the confidence, skills, and habits your child needs for long-term success in school and beyond.
My goal is simple: help students become independent learners who are confident, capable, and ready for whatever comes next.
What Students Say
"Learning support has helped me throughout the DP by allowing me to ask for additional help, and it has helped me understand different ways in which I learn best and how I can apply those study strategies when completing assignments. It has helped me as an individual by showing me my strengths, as well as how to support my weaknesses. This support has been invaluable in helping me grow and improve. The thing that I have gained the most from learning support was having an education that was best suited for me and my unique needs."
-Lola-Sophia, HS Graduate
"Learning support helped me to organize my courses and gave me the space to feel comfortable asking questions when I needed help. I was able to practice important presentations with Ms. G and then improve with her advice and feedback. This helped me feel less stressed and more confident. I learned how to create a study plan and how to calm down & get started when I was behind or down. I gained a lot of positive energy, happiness, and help from learning support."
-Vivian, HS Graduate
"Learning support tutoring helped me develop critical thinking, gain more confidence in my subjects, be more open minded, and overcome any challenges that may come my way. It helped me plan and think about different ways to tackle my assignments. Finally, it helped me develop the various skills required for my subjects. It has really helped me become more organized and more forward-thinking on my priorities and what I must do to be successful in the things I want to accomplish for the rest of my life. Thank you, Ms. Gorczyca."
- Jeremy, DP Graduate
"Learning support developed into learning skills that help students study, stay organized, relax and have a good mindset. I gained countless studying methods, revision packets, time to work and most importantly feedback. With all my projects for the IB, it is difficult to maintain a high level of work all the time but this is a lot easier to do with learning support as my teacher provides helpful feedback on anything I need to improve or missed. I have also gained a friend in Ms. Gorczyca."

All sessions are conducted online in English via Google Meet. Most of my students live in Europe and attend MYP/DP international schools, so our sessions take place after their school day ends — which falls during my daytime hours, since I'm based in EST. I also work with students abroad in English-speaking university programs, as well as students in the U.S. who are available to meet during the day, before 5:00 PM EST.

In the first half of the lesson, we check in and then dive into what they're covering in each of their classes. From there, we create a priority list based on their assignment load, a plan for tackling each assessment, and top goals for the week. The second half of the lesson is more student-led, we might work through an assignment where content support is needed, review an assessment together and talk through how to improve, or focus on study habits, communication skills, and more, depending on what the student needs that day. In between sessions, I create any support materials needed and provide feedback on assessments when asked.

I typically work with students for one hour, but I can also do 45-minute sessions if that better suits a student’s attention span and bandwidth.

1-2 times a week, depending on how much support a student needs.
